PACKING AND STORAGE TIPS

	1.	Make packing for storage easier on yourself by planning ahead. Start by listing all the items you are going to store. Pack as much as you can into boxes. Make sure you have plenty of packing paper, old newspapers, bubble wrap, sealing tape and marker pens, along with furniture or mattress covers.
	2.	Pack as much as you can in the same size boxes—fill each box to its capacity, but take care not to over pack or under pack the box. The top and sides of each box should not bulge (bulging cartons tip when stacked), boxes that are half full may cave in or collapse. Reinforce the bottom of all boxes with tape.
	3.	Pack your heavy items in small boxes and place them on the bottom with your lighter boxes on top. Pack books flat to protect their spines.

	5.	Label Your Boxes so you will know the contents, and keep a list—this will make it easier when unpacking. Pay special attention to fragile items, and make sure they are secure and well wrapped.You can use bureau drawers to store small, fragile items—be sure to fill the empty spaces with towels or packing paper.
	6.	Use lots of paper to pack dishes and glassware. Place a layer of packing paper inside the bottom and top of cartons, and wrap each dish and glass separately and cushion them with crumpled newspaper.Plates are best stacked on edge.
	7.	Tape or tie bed rails together—this will make for easy assembly later. Use covers or plastic bags on mattresses to keep them clean during storage. Protect chair legs by wrapping them in packing paper or bubble wrap.
	8.	Hang your clothes and draperies in AccuMobile wardrobe boxes.
	9.	Use every inch of space by packing pictures, mirrors, etc. in the space between other items. AccuMobile has special mirror packs. Not only will this help protect them it will take create a tighter fit.
	10.	Clean and dry appliances before storing, and secure all moving parts with paper, or a wedge.
